Tonto Dikeh's Emotional Tribute for Muna Obiekwe - 'I Can Only Wish There is Life After Death'

Posted in: , , ,

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh did not immediately come out with a tribute for late Muna Obiekwe but it seems that's because the loss really hit her hard. Tonto and Muna starred opposite each other in several movies, and the actress reflects in the write-up she shared today about the pains of being a celebrity and having to sometimes hoard your privacy to your own detriment.

Just sitting here gazing at a picture of a boy I know but now gone because of an illness that would have been managed. The thought of his lifeless body brings me so much pain and sadness and it is not because I was close to him nor that I cared so much about him but just a mere reflection of how wicked the world is, the extent we go just to hide our pain to avoid being a laughing stock, Gossip item, abused, bullied on social medias and even betrayed by some trusted friends & even our so called Families*

She disclosed that he discovered his kidney problem a long time ago but like most people, he thought he could manage it.

He only took his drugs and medication once in a while as ‘Muna never believed the ailment could lead to his death. He believed he would survive it like he did the gunshot and death of his parents. He was not a man given to worrying about things. He believed it was not a coincidence his parents named him Munachimso, a name which means God is walking with me.’
